Working at the Age of Retirement

by Shierly on August 22nd, 2010

UK Government has proposed it’s plans to eliminate the retirement age by October 2011. This proposal is called for as there are more “older population”. This proposal will also help the economy by means of injecting more funds by additional taxes while they are still claiming their pensions.

Under the proposal, the employer can only reach a consensus with it’s employee but the decision to retire is entirely up to the employee. Also, with this proposal, people over 65 will have all the employment rights.

Many companies believe that the process was so fast paced and leaves them with many “unresolved problems”. But the Government see’s progress as they work longer, they are more experienced and additional finances would benefit the country overall.
